When I was twenty-eight, and on a yoga instructor retreat, the Lord revealed to me what had been holding me back from getting baptized through a song, “Pieces” by Steffany Gretzinger. Before that moment, I was carrying guilt and shame for things I had experienced growing up as a result of suppressed childhood trauma. Once I was able to give the Lord every space of my heart, I began healing in ways I thought impossible.
